World Association of Economists
The World Association of Economists (WAE) has granted membership to Mashroo3k for Economic Consulting, as part of a major collaboration to bring the world’s economists together in a unified association that strengthens their efforts.
About the World Association of Economists
The World Association of Economists was launched in 2011 as an inclusive and pluralistic international professional association. The Association provides economists and those interested in economics with a space to exchange experiences, while promoting the plurality of approaches to economic analysis. The WEA is keen to disseminate economic research and shed light on the social nature of economics, by seeking to realize the values of pluralism, knowledge diffusion, and difference in thought, belief, and methodology. The Association encourages critical thinking, the development of new ideas, empirical rigor and higher standards of scholarship.
Objectives World Association of Economists
The World Association of Economists seeks to increase the relevance, breadth, and depth of economic thought. By exchanging diverse economic perspectives, increasing the range of human activities and issues that fall within the broad field of economics; and studying the world’s diverse economies. The World Association of Economists seeks to set standards for the ascension of elites, linking levels of professional competence to economics, in order to better serve society in the future. It promotes the engagement of economics with the real world in order to confront, explain, and make traceable economic phenomena. Both the association’s membership and governance are specifically formed in order to embrace all forms of diversity within its membership. The Association intends for all publication, discussion, and meeting processes to be transparent and open to input from all of its members. To this end, the Association will shape itself online using digital technologies wherever possible, including online conferences and virtual publishing. WEA recognizes the valuable contributions to economic thought made by researchers and thinkers outside the main body of economics. WEA will encourage these people to become members and add their insights to our collective learning. The association will establish a committee to develop a code of ethics, seeking access to ethical behavior. The association will be democratically structured so as not to allow for the dominance of one country or continent, for global democracy. The World Association of Economists believes that these commitments, when held jointly by its members, will increase the relevance, breadth, and depth of economic thought, so that in the future the economics and related professions will be better equipped to serve humanity.
